I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
