Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
